Custom Designed Jewelry Sets

Hi Everyone,

Sure hope you are all having fun this Holiday Season!  Believe it or not, Scottsdale, Arizona had snow on the golf course 2 days ago and they had to actually close the course.  Now, this is NOT that far from Phoenix, it is on the outskirts of Phoenix.  YES!, it has been very cold here - so far as Arizona is concerned.

Well, Tara was finally able to get pictures of the other custom designed Jewelry Sets that I made so I am going to post the picture here.  However, Tara does have them listed in her store should you like to get a better view of each set.  They would make lovely Christmas presents.  There is another jewelry set just below this blog too.

Thank you so much for checking out my blog and I wish you all a very Blessed and Safe Christmas and New Year.

Jewelry Set

I sent Tara some jewelry sets that I had made and she received them.  But, due to bad weather, she has been unable to take pictures of all of them.  She was able to take one picture of a set, so I thought I would post it for all to see.  Should you be interested, please visit Tara's Shop.

Thanks,
Sherry XOXO :-)

Just an update on my current projects

Well, Tara received my Marie Antoinette Doll and dining set.  She has posted it in her store if you would like to see much better pictures of it than I was able to take.  I am very proud of this set, as it turned out way better than I ever thought it could be.  I may try my hand at another mini doll soon.  But, for right now, I have just completed a few jewelry sets for Tara to post in her store.  I let my imagination run on these sets.  Each set will have earrings to match the necklace and one of them even has a bracelet to match.  I will be making a few more sets over the weekend and mailing them out to Tara on Monday.  I know as soon as she receives them she will take photos of them and post them in her shop.  If you are still looking for a great Christmas gift for someone, these sets would be very lovely.  So for now, I don't have any pictures of them, you will need to wait for Tara to take some pictures.

Sure hope all my blogging friends had a lovely Thanksgiving yesterday.  I know that I certainly ate too much, but, I think I have room for a piece of pie right now.

Thanks for stopping by and checking in to see what I am up to right now,
Sherry XOXO :-)

Completed Marie Antoinette Dinning Set

Ok, I stayed up late last night and put hair on her and styled it.  This morning, I finished decorating her hair and was so very pleased how it turned out.  Of course, I had to call Tara late last night because I was having trouble getting her hair to style - it was like working with Cotton Candy!, just kept sticking in bunches.  So with Tara's help I was able to make it more manageable.  She does have a little feather in the back of her hair, however, it did not show up in the pictures very well.  And as you know, my pictures are pretty bad and Tara's are just beautiful.  So, please bare with me on the following pictures and I will be mailing the complete set to Tara on Monday.  I know as soon as she gets it she will take wonderful pictures to show off all the fine detail involved with this mini.  This is my first adult mini and it took almost 3 weeks just to do Marie.  I must say, that I didn't realize how much work goes into mini dolls.  I want to aplode those that do this all the time.  I am sure that I will get better as I do more dolls.  But, I am patting myself on the back this time as it was my first and I think she is so pretty (much more in person).  So below you will see a few pictures of the now completed Marie Antoinette Dinning Set.

Love to all,

Marie Antoinette update

Hi Everyone,

For those of you that have been waiting for an update on my Marie Antoinette set, here are a few pictures of how it is coming along.  It has taken me some time to mold her and design just the right outfit that I wanted to dress her in.  This was a very delicate job, as I wanted everything to be just right.  I know that the pictures do not show all the detail that went into stitching and designing her :-( and of course - she looks SO much prettier in person.  She does look a little funny with no hair right now.  I will of course be taking more pictures of her when she is finished and just before mailing her out to Tara to post in her shop.  But, for now, here are a couple of pictures of her at this point.

I do want to take this time and wish all my blogging friends a very Happy and Safe Thanksgiving Day.

Love to all,
Sherry XOXO

Update on Marie Antoinette pictures

Here are the most current pictures.

Here are a few pictures of the set completed.  I put a lot of thought into this before completing it.  I am now working on Marie Antoinette herself.  She will be seated in all her glory on the chair that has no arms on it.  I had to take the arms off one chair so that her beautiful dress would flow down on the sides.  She will be dressed in her traditional gown with all the trim, pearls, etc....  I have just finished making the custom hands and face molds for her.  This part of the project will take a while as I want her to be perfect in every way.  I will post pictures as I am going to show the progress of her.

Thank you so very much for stopping in and checking on my current mini.

Working on a new mini - Marie Antoinette dining set

Well, as you know, Tara did a beautiful Marie Antoinette set and it gave me an idea to do something in a Marie Antoinette setting too.  I have been holding on to a really nice table, chair and cabinet set for a while and decided to use it.  Below is the beginning of my Marie Antoinette set and as you can see, I am just getting started.  I have painted the pieces in a custom color, pastel blue.  I have completed the flower arrangements for the cabinet and the cake for the table.  I have many more items that I will be putting on the table and in the cabinet.  I am planning on making Marie Antoinette in her beautiful dress and accessories sitting at the table with her tea service.  This mini may take a little while as I am NOT going to spare any details on it.  So here is just the first picture of where I am on it now and I promise to keep you up to date with pictures as I go.

Love to all my blogging friends,

Dollhouse Miniature 1/12 scale Headless Horseman with Goblin Horse

UPDATE:  Sorry, but, I just found out that this beautiful mini is now sold.

Hi Everyone,

I have returned from my visit with my family in Illinois.  I had a great time as always.  Donnie, Tara and my grandchildren always welcome me with open arms and make my stay there loving and memorable.  We had so much fun together.

Well, as you can see from the pictures below, Tara and I were hard a work on a project that she had dreamed of doing and I must say we had a GREAT time together making this mini.  It was a real challenge to make this project the best ever.  And, I must say - IT TURNED OUT BEYOND WHAT WE THOUGHT.  I think this is the most realistic and detailed minis that we attempted.  Everything about this mini is PERFECT in every way.  The detail we accomplished goes without words.  If you could see it in person, it would blow your mind away as to the finest details that we put into this.  Tara, has listed it in her store and if you would like to take a closer look at it just click on her link, http://www.etsy.com/shop/tarayvonne.  We put our hearts into this project and I hope that you will like it as much as we love it.  And as always, it is more beautiful than words in person than pictures.  The person that buys this mini WILL NOT be disappointed when they get it.  So enjoy the pictures below.

As Always,
Sherry XOXO :-)

Trouble with my Blog

I just wanted to take a minute to let all of you know that I do go through all my Blogging Friends and check on what you have been doing.  I have tried MANY times to leave a comment, but, for some reason it keeps telling me that I do not have access from my Blog to leave a comment.  I am not sure if anyone else is having any problems like this, however, I just wanted to let everyone know that I do go in and see what you all are up to or making.  Please don't think that I ignore my friends, because I don't.  You all are doing beautiful work and I would like to comment (NOW) how much I enjoy clicking on your blogs and seeing what is going on in your world.  I will continue to check my Blogging Buddies and try to leave comments, but, if I can't - just know that I am keeping up with all of you.

Dollhouse Miniature Harry Potter Dumbledore Cabinet with Fawkes

Hi Everyone,

For those of you waiting to see the completed Dumbledore Cabinet with Fawkes, I just wanted to let you know that Tara did not receive my package on Saturday as I thought.  We are hoping it will arrive tomorrow.  I also wanted to let you know that the surprise I sent along with the Dumbledore Cabinet are two (2) more Harry Potter desks.  These 2 desks will match the new cabinet perfectly, not only in color, but, also in the arrangement and type of items that I used.  Both of the desks are very detailed in every way and would be lovely with the new cabinet.

So, for now I am not making any more minis. ;(  I will be vacationing with Tara, my son and grandchildren. ;)  I will be leaving on Thursday, September the 22nd and returning home on October 2nd.  When I get back, I have a few idea's that I would like to attempt.  So until then, I hope all my friends will have a great month, and I will sign back in next month.

Love to All,
Sherry XOXO ;-)

Dollhouse Miniature Harry Potter Dumbledore Cabinet with Fawkes

For all my miniature blogging friends out there, I just wanted to let you know that the feathers came in and I finally finished Fawkes.  If I say so myself, he really came out BEAUTIFUL and it shows.  I really hate to see him go, but I just packaged him up along with a surprise for Tara's Shop.  She does not know it yet, as I have not told her, I sent a couple other Harry Potter miniatures along with Fawkes.  So if you are interested in more Harry Potter miniature goodies, Tara should have the package by Saturday.  Of course she will have to take pictures before putting the minis up for sale in her store.  If you have a chance, please stop in and check out my new Harry Potter minis at Tara's Store - I think they turned out REALLY nice.

I hope all of you had a safe and fun Labor Day weekend.
Love to all,
Sherry

Dollhouse Miniature Harry Potter Dumbledore Cabinet with Fawkes

Okay my friends, here is a sneak peek at my new mini that I have been working on for well over the past week.  First off, these pictures (as usual are not the greatest) pretty fuzzy!!!, however, when Fawkes is totally completed and he is well anchored to the cabinet, I will be shipping him and the cabinet to Tara. I know that her pictures are always better than mine.

I took a great deal of time and patience on Fawkes.  In creating him I did my homework.  I am not sure if anyone else has attempted to create Fawkes, but, if you know of someone who has, I would love to see their work.  When constructing Fawkes I started by using wire and forming the body, head and beak from one piece of wire.  I then molded the clay around the wire so that Fawkes is all one piece, (this gives him strength).  His legs also have wire and after molding the clay around the legs and creating his feet, I took the extended wire left on his legs and inserted that part into the body and then baked him.  I wanted to make sure that he would be very sturdy. Fawkes was definitely a challenge, but as most of you know, I love a good challenge.  Fawkes alone took me 3 days to make and feather.  However, I ran out of red and yellow feathers, so I am waiting for them to come in.  Then I can finish feathering him.  I tried to stay true to the movie when making Fawkes.  In the movie, Fawkes changes his appearance a couple of times, so I composed him by looking at the pictures and trying to come up with something I thought was close.  I detailed him in every way possible right down to the fine details in his face and beak.

I then proceeded to making the Dumbledore cabinet using every bit of my imagination.  There are books, scrolls, potion bottles, crystal ball, pictures, and a lot more.  I left no stone unturned on this cabinet.  Everything is finely detailed.  You could say I put my heart in this mini.  I know that when I made the Harry Potter desk with Hedwig, I said that I hated to see him leave, well I feel the same about Fawkes.  He is so beautiful, he actually looks like he has a personality all of his own.

Well, now I am just waiting for the feathers to come in.  I am having my husband run to the Post Office everyday to check for me.  I am sure he will be happy when they finally come in so I will stop nagging him about going to the Post Office - LOL :)  As soon as he is finished, I will ship him and the cabinet off to Tara and she will post it in here shop.  I sure hope you like this mini as much as I do - it was challenging and fun.

Love to all,
Sherry

New OOAK Harry Potter Desk complete with Hedwig

Here is my last try at a Harry Potter Desk complete with Hedwig.  This desk will be an OOAK.  As you can see in the pictures, this desk is stuffed with leather bound books, scrolls, potion bottles of all kinds, an Hour Glass and Crystal ball.  If you look into the door cabinet, you will see a complete frog starring back at you in one bottle and a complete beautiful Dragon in the other.  On top of the desk there are open scrolls, candles, a brass Globe, real Aquamarine chips in the beautiful jar just under Hedwig, a bottle of bones and more.  Off to the left on the top of the desk you will see a large open hand made leather bound potion book with hand made Harry Potter glasses along with his wand.  Now to my pride and joy of this mini - Hedwig.  Hedwig is completely feathered by hand from head to his claws.  I am still rubbing my nose and vacuuming up feathers.  He is just amazing!  In fact, after I finished Hedwig, I sat there and just kept petting him.  The feathers were so soft and they are REALLY detailed.  When I sent pictures to Tara, I told her that it was going to break my heart to let him go.  He was just so beautiful.  Well, as you can see, I put a lot of thought into this miniature and a tremendous amount of work, but, it was all worth it in the end.  My next project will be creating the Dumbledore Cabinet with the Phoenix Firebird perched on the top of the cabinet.  The Phoenix Firebird, I know will be much more challenging than Hedwig, but, I love a good challenge.

To let you know, I just mailed this Harry Potter Desk complete with Hedwig to Tara this morning.  As soon as she gets it, she will take better pictures and post the desk in here shop for sale.  So until then, I just couldn't wait to show it off to all my friends.

For those of you that have left comments on my Blog, thank you so very much for your complements.  I am having trouble going in and posting any thank yous in my Blog - some type of hang-up.  But, again thank you everyone that has posted a comment, I really appreciate them.

Have a great day and I hope you like this OOAK Harry Potter Desk complete with Hedwig.

Finally some pictures for all to see!

.

Well, finally here are some pictures of the Harry Potter Potions work desk and just one picture of the 2 Dumbledore Cabinets that I made.  I hope you find them interesting.  I had fun making the desk and the Dumbledore Cabinets were a challenge, but, I thought they all came out pretty good.  They have been posted in Tara's shop.  So if you would like to see more pictures of these minis, just go on over to Tara's shop.  Thank you, Sherry XOXO :)

Dumbledore Cabinets

Just to bring you up to date, I have finished the two Dumbledore Cabinets and I am pretty proud as to how they turned out.  I also made a Harry Potter desk, which was really fun.  I have just finished packaging them up and they will be on their way to Tara's house in the morning.  She takes way better pictures than I do and these three items deserve a really nice picture to show off all the goodies in them.  So as soon as she gets them, I am sure that she will take the pictures right away and post them for all to see.  As always, thanks for stopping by my blog and checking things out.

Dumbledore Cabinets

Well, here is a peak at the Dumbledore Cabinets that I am working on.  I still have a tremendous amount of work to do on them, but, I thought I would give you a little look-see at what I have finished so far.  I still have minis coming in for the cabinets.  I know that Dumbledore's cabinets only had a few items on each shelf, however, I will be filling up the cabinets with lots of goodies.  In fact, you will notice 4 tall bottles along with the other items.  In these tall bottles, you will find real aquamarine chips and white mother of pearl.  I have also made minis out of watch parts.  Well, here are a couple of pictures to give you an idea of what I am doing now.  Thanks again for stopping by my blog and checking in on me.  Sherry XOXO :-)

Honeydukes Christmas Tree's Completed

Okay, here is another peek at my Honeydukes Christmas Tree's.  I've been busy working on them and as promised, I wanted to give you an idea of what I am doing.  YES!, they are full of goodies, lolly pops, candy canes, sticks of candy, jars of candy (and yes, when the tree is moved, the jars of candies will swing back and forth on the tree), chocolate frogs coming out of the bags, and much much more - enough candy and goodies to satisfy anyone and maybe even send you to the dentist. LOL :-)  If you have any questions in regards to these two trees, please get in touch with Tara.  And, with that being said, here is another peek at my project.  I have taken a picture of the front and the side views of each tree.  Just to let you know, these pictures do not do these tree's justice.  They are more beautiful in person - so much more vivid bright colors and pastel colors than in the photos below.

Just a note:  these two tree's are an OOAK and I will not be making any more.  So if you are interested in them, I am sure that Tara will be posting them in her shop today.  I am kinda candied out at this time and would like to move on to other projects that I have in mind.

As always, thanks for stopping and taking the time to check in with me.  Sherry XOXO :-)
