Finally some pictures for all to see!

.

Well, finally here are some pictures of the Harry Potter Potions work desk and just one picture of the 2 Dumbledore Cabinets that I made.  I hope you find them interesting.  I had fun making the desk and the Dumbledore Cabinets were a challenge, but, I thought they all came out pretty good.  They have been posted in Tara's shop.  So if you would like to see more pictures of these minis, just go on over to Tara's shop.  Thank you, Sherry XOXO :)

Dumbledore Cabinets

Just to bring you up to date, I have finished the two Dumbledore Cabinets and I am pretty proud as to how they turned out.  I also made a Harry Potter desk, which was really fun.  I have just finished packaging them up and they will be on their way to Tara's house in the morning.  She takes way better pictures than I do and these three items deserve a really nice picture to show off all the goodies in them.  So as soon as she gets them, I am sure that she will take the pictures right away and post them for all to see.  As always, thanks for stopping by my blog and checking things out.

Dumbledore Cabinets

Well, here is a peak at the Dumbledore Cabinets that I am working on.  I still have a tremendous amount of work to do on them, but, I thought I would give you a little look-see at what I have finished so far.  I still have minis coming in for the cabinets.  I know that Dumbledore's cabinets only had a few items on each shelf, however, I will be filling up the cabinets with lots of goodies.  In fact, you will notice 4 tall bottles along with the other items.  In these tall bottles, you will find real aquamarine chips and white mother of pearl.  I have also made minis out of watch parts.  Well, here are a couple of pictures to give you an idea of what I am doing now.  Thanks again for stopping by my blog and checking in on me.  Sherry XOXO :-)

Honeydukes Christmas Tree's Completed

Okay, here is another peek at my Honeydukes Christmas Tree's.  I've been busy working on them and as promised, I wanted to give you an idea of what I am doing.  YES!, they are full of goodies, lolly pops, candy canes, sticks of candy, jars of candy (and yes, when the tree is moved, the jars of candies will swing back and forth on the tree), chocolate frogs coming out of the bags, and much much more - enough candy and goodies to satisfy anyone and maybe even send you to the dentist. LOL :-)  If you have any questions in regards to these two trees, please get in touch with Tara.  And, with that being said, here is another peek at my project.  I have taken a picture of the front and the side views of each tree.  Just to let you know, these pictures do not do these tree's justice.  They are more beautiful in person - so much more vivid bright colors and pastel colors than in the photos below.

Just a note:  these two tree's are an OOAK and I will not be making any more.  So if you are interested in them, I am sure that Tara will be posting them in her shop today.  I am kinda candied out at this time and would like to move on to other projects that I have in mind.

As always, thanks for stopping and taking the time to check in with me.  Sherry XOXO :-)

Honeydukes Christmas Trees - just a peek!

Here is the first peek of the Honeydukes Christmas Trees that I'm working on.  I'm still working on the candies, goodies and ornaments that will be hanging on the trees.  Just to let you know, I tried really hard, but you can't really get the full impact of the beautiful glitter on the branches of the trees.  Believe me when I say, it is just so beautiful in person. The white tree looks as though there was a fresh snow fall and the branches have that beautiful white/blue glitter and the base of the tree has been touched with a glitter that reminds me of the new fallen snow during my years leaving in Alaska.  The green tree has an array of glitter to match the Honeyduke candy colors, (just like the Northern Lights in Alaska).  This emphases all the beautiful goodies, candies and ornaments that will embrace this trees.  There will be lots of candies and goodies both on and under each tree for all to share.  I will update you in a couple of days with all the candies and goodies, etc... that will be put on and under the trees.
Thanks for checking in on my blog, Sherry XOXO :-)

YUP!, I'm still alive.

For all my blogging friends whom probably think that I may have dropped off the face of this earth- Nope!:-) I am still here.  For the past month, I have been undergoing 12 to 18 shots a week in my neck and shoulders due to the pain of my reconstructive neck surgery.  I still go in every week, but, it is getting to the point where I can start functioning more now, SO, I am back.

I also took 10 days off to visit my son, daughter-in-law (TARA!!!) and my grandchildren.  OH!, what a WONDERFUL time I had there.  Tara and I worked on a few items for her other store, "Shelfish Beauties" web site: http://www.etsy.com/shop/SelfishBeauty?ref=pr_shop.  We had a lot of fun and she has added more items since I have been back in Arizona.  You might want to just take a quick look-see at her store.  She made my husband some soap one day and asked him to try it.  Now he refuses to use anything else.  Just to let you know, my husband has VERY sensitive skin and really has a hard time finding something that won't break his skin out.  Tara only uses top quality ingredient's in her products and my husband is a testimony to that.  In fact, just to let you know, we ran out of the only laundry soap that I can use on his cloths and went down to the store and bought some Tide - I thought okay, I'll use this until I can get his soap (as I have to order it).  Well, I washed his cloths and on the third day, his skin was in a full rash all over him.  Not knowing what might have happened, I took him in to see our doctor and the first thing the doctor asked was, "did you change any soaps or detergent's lately?"  Right then and there we knew what had happened.  So, he and I have to be very careful regarding anything he uses.  But, one day, Tara asked my husband if he wanted to try her bath soap and he did.  WOW!, he loved it and after his shower - BOY!, did he smell GREAT.  Yes, Tara only uses the best of ingredient's.  He now won't use anything else, he swears by Tara's soap.  But, anyhow, I had a great time back in Illinois and am looking forward to my next trip at the end of September.

Now, I get back home on the 12th of June and my husband had been doing some remodeling to our house (as you can see in the picture below) and that took away my work area for the past two weeks.  You can see on the right side of the picture, my roll-around tool box that I keep all my mini stuff in.  He finally got all the tapping and mudding completed, so I can get back to doing a few miniatures.  I am working on a couple of "Honeydukes Christmas Trees", until it is time for him to texture the walls and paint - then I am back to having no work space again for a couple of days.

YUP!, you read me right - "Honeydukes Christmas Trees".  I am sooooo excited and I can visualize exactly what they will look like.  There will be one tree that will go nicely in any ones Honeydukes Store and the could be for either inside or an outside tree.  The inside/outside tree I thought would be nice for someone that may have completed the interior of a Honeydukes Store and has no more room inside, but, might have room on the outside of the store.  Yesterday, I decked out the trees with glitter and made some tiny and fancy bottles filled with candies to hang on the tree.  There will be lollipop's, twisted candies, candy canes, etc..., including regular hand made decorations hanging on the tree.  There is a considerable amount of work being put into these two trees and I hope that my friends will like them.

So, that pretty much brings you up to date as to what I've been up to.  I will post a couple of pictures as I go along.  I want to let you know that these two trees will not be exactly alike.  I am making sure that they will be somewhat different, so that they will be an OOAK.  Well, I will sign off now and go back to working on the trees.  I will keep you up to date with a few pictures.  Thanks so much for stopping by and checking up on my blog and I hope you have a Blessed day.

Honeydukes Candy Witch Hats

For all of my blogging friends out there, I have just finished making 3 different Honeydukes Candy Displays with candy covered Witch Hats.  Everything from the stems to the hats and all the candy's have been hand crafted.  If you are setting up a Honeydukes Candy Shop room, these little sweet displays would fit right in.  Each display is a little different so you will have a choice depending on your room display and colors.  The  legs and feet of the display have wire in them for added security and stability.  I have only posted the front and back views above of each candy hat display.  However, if you are interested in checking out all views, you can go to Tara's Shop as she will be posting them for sale today.  Thank you very much for stopping by.
